The Man Behind DIME's initial Exposure: Kyron Warrick

In Today's street wear age we have the giants that control the markets: Supreme, Bape, Stussy, and so on. However there are upcoming brands that although may not threaten the success of those giants but are able to share in the success of such brands. Some of the most popular are Palace, Thrasher, Noah, and today's main focus DIME. The exponentially fast growing brand saw it's start in 1994 but it was not until recent years that they began to
blow up onto the street wear scenes. What caused this uprising to fame you ask? Well the question you should be asking is not what, but who. Kyron Warrick who is a respected figure in the YouTube street wear community may be the person who helped Dime to get their exposure. Kyron has an cult following of over 20,000 subscribers on YouTube under his GOTSWEIGE PRODUCTIONS YouTube Channel, (SEE VIDEO BELOW) who religiously waits for his uploads and not only that actively discuss their knowledge on the culture in the comments. This following was amassed from the countless Supreme, Bape, and Palace pick up videos along with an outfit series with sometimes discussion videos he puts in his channel. It goes without saying that these followers are dedicated fans of the street wear community and actively engage in the market place of the community. So anything Kyron showcase in his videos are like gold to these impressionable teens and young adults, which makes Kyron a huge influencer in the community. So when Kyron decided to showcase DIME in his videos about a year ago, things started to change for DIME. Although these are not hard facts that has correlations between Dime's success and Kyron's videos we can definitely say that Kyron had some influence in their initial success. The fact that they are both based out in Montreal makes it hard to not believe that the local fans of Kyron hyped up the brand. Either way there may be an opportunity for both Dime and Kyron to work in the future to collaborate and we will be watching to see if that happens.
